Airports

VAE Group have undertaken a number of projects within airports in the last five years. These projects include HVAC, Fire, Electrical and Security and require access to secure, airside and sterile areas. Consequently, we fully understand that communication and stakeholder engagement is essential and appreciate the need to be vigilant of all processes and protocols. We understand the unique risks involved in working in the airport environment and have a proven track record of delivering services without any disruption to airport operations.

#Our Airport Capabilities

Engineering

Engineering

Because of the need for Built in Certainty, VAE's engineered solutions for airports take a multi-disciplined approach incorporating HVAC, fire, electrical and fire engineering. In particular we ensure that the systems we install integrate with neighbouring systems to provide a total smoke management system in the event of a fire.

Drafting

Drafting

Minimising installation time means maximising the availability of building services systems. Using 3D CAD drafting for all services ensures installation time is not interrupted because of the need to resolve clashes between services.

Construction

Construction

Construction at airports, especially in existing facilities is all about minimising the impact on airport operations, minimising the risk to both employees and the public and achieving Built in Certainty performance. To achieve these objectives, VAE invest heavily in planning to ensure we have the right people, the necessary skills and the appropriate equipment to deliver the job safely.

Manage

Manage

We provide a dedicated warranty manager, data driven maintenance and system analytics to optimise system performance.

#Key Risks

Lack of attention to detail can have significant consequences including:

  • Breach in security
  • Failure or incorrect operation of smoke management system
  • Interruption to airport operations
  • Loss of income to an airport stakeholder
  • Injury to the public or airport employee
