The hospital accommodation increased its capacity from 101 hospital beds to 150. With the establishment of a new Intensive Care Unit (ICU), including four intensive care beds and two critical care beds, the hospital enhanced its ability to treat more complex cases.
The upgrade also included:
- New early parenting centre
- New operating theatres, additional procedure room and dermatology room
- Additional Stage 2 and 3 recovery capacity
- New rehabilitation unit
- Hospital stores and kitchen expansion
- Expansion to central sterilizing department New specialist consulting suites building, and expansion of Medical Records facilities
