Team Black Dog Update #1Real Men Ride Posties

The tour is well under way for Team Black Dog’s 4000km journey up the West Coast of Australia. The boys are charging on without too many troubles along the way.

Team Black Dog completed 375km on day one, setting up camp in Dongara, Port Denison. Only one casualty for day one – with a bee sting in the neck mid ride.

On day two the team completed their ride at Hamelin Pool via Geraldton another 343km further north. The team at REV Motorcycles fixed Ryan’s carbie, allowing him to once again travel over 70km/h.

Day 3 Team Black Dog ventured to Steep Point, the most Western Point of mainland Australia…. Well almost… they fell 10km short – the postie bikes didn’t agree with the last 10km of sand dunes, resulting in a couple of flat tires so the boys had to turn back! Team Black Dog still managed to see some incredible country along the way and share a beer with some of the locals once they settled into camp.

A 329km day on day four and the team arrived safely in Minilya after travelling all day with a 20-knot wind. Kim Beasley dropped by to wish Wazza a Happy 40th Birthday. There are also some great photos of NT Branch Manager Jason Walsh on day four!

Donations are still coming through, and the boys are getting closer to their target of $20,000 for Black Dog Institute. If you would like to donate to this worth cause, please head to Team Black Dog's Everyday Hero page
