Christchurch

VAE Group NZ initially entered the New Zealand construction market during 2016 after successfully negotiating the mechanical services contract with CPB Contractors for the Christchurch Hospital Acute Services Building. We provided a number of value engineered solutions which have subsequently been successfully incorporated into the project in liaison with the client team. This key project showcases the approach that VAE have taken to the market - delivering high international standard projects built on our core values of ‘Built in Certainty’ and providing ‘Smarter HVAC Solutions’.

#Our Christchurch Team

The New Zealand head office, located in Sockburn, Christchurch is in a prime location just 15 minutes from the central business district. We have a close knit, high performing team that are committed to providing quality project solutions to our customers and to VAE’s long term business in New Zealand.

#Why work in Christchurch?

Christchurch, The Garden City, is currently on an exciting journey to become the worlds ‘newest’ city in the 21st century. Following the devastating earthquake damage of 2010 and 2011, the opportunity to completely rebuild the city with a focus on the future is something VAE Group is a part of - and if you join our team, you could have a hand in rebuilding Christchurch too.

Christchurch has a world-renowned adventure playground on its doorstep: it is bordered by the Pacific Ocean, the beautiful Banks Peninsula and stunning farmlands of the Canterbury plains. The immense Southern Alps are less than 100 kilometres away from the central city and exciting resort towns of Queenstown, Wanaka and Milford Sounds. Our team, the incredible recreation opportunities and the exciting projects we're working on all make Christchurch a fantastic place to live and work.

#Our Growth

The business goes from strength to strength and in a relatively short space of time, VAE Group NZ is proud to have secured contracts with a number of ‘blue chip’ clients including The University of Canterbury and The Department of Corrections as well as recently securing the design & construct contract for the Christchurch Convention & Exhibition Centre - landmark project helping to reshape our city.
